Hi, I’m Tim — the hands (and heart) behind Ace Upholstery.

This business started with a mentor who handed me a staple gun and a challenge. I originally went to school to become a teacher, driven by a passion for both learning and helping others grow. But when I stumbled into the world of upholstery, something clicked. The craftsmanship, problem-solving, and creativity it required reminded me of everything I loved about teaching — just with fabric, foam, and a different kind of classroom. I was hooked, and I haven’t looked back.

Ace Upholstery is a one-man operation focused on clean finishes, consistent quality, and fair, honest service. Whether I’m working on marine upholstery, convertible tops, or custom pieces, I approach every project with care, craftsmanship, and pride.

Outside the shop, I’m a husband to my amazing wife, Hannah, and a proud dad to two incredible girls — Genevieve and Maggie. I’m their coach, cheerleader, and chauffeur, and I wouldn’t have it any other way. Staying active and keeping in shape is a big part of my life, and I also find inspiration through art and my love for automobiles.

You’ll often find my trusty shop dog, a Boykin Spaniel, by my side — always ready to supervise (or nap) while I work.

Thanks for visiting — I look forward to working with you and bringing your project to life with quality you can trust.
